About us

Jets Dance Centre opened in 2006, having previously been the Wendy Hewitt School of Dance. The School offers children of all ages the opportunity to develop their dance skills in a friendly and fun environment.

As a recognised member of the IDTA the school gives children the chance to achieve qualifications in all genres of dance.

Students are also encouraged to take part in annual performances at the Rotherham Civic theatre.

Since the establishment, Jets has coached pupils through all levels of examinations; from Preparatory Grade, to Intermediate. Many pupils have gone on to study dance further, either at university or professional dance academies.

Our Teachers

The school is managed by Julie Beaumont and Toni Kon, who are fully qualified Associate Dance Teachers with the IDTA. Jets also has two young enthusiastic student teachers, Nicola Beaumont and Sophie Roberts who are trained in Contemporary Dance and also in process of completing IDTA Associate qualifications
