All dancewear needs to be proper dancewear clothing (lycra) from dance shops/suppliers, not just leggings or sportswear items

• No jewellery or nail varnish allowed

• Please wear appropriate underwear that cannot be seen

• No hair accessories allowed

• Hair needs to be neat and tied back using simple hair bands, braids etc.

 

Ballet

Ballet tights (pink), black leotard, pink ballet shoes (plus point shoes if required) hair for ballet needs to be fully tied back (bun is preferable) neatly (braided is ok) – use bun nets if required

 

Theatre craft

Prep and primary grades - Leotard and skirt, white ankle socks, black ballet shoes

Grade 1 – 5 – Leotard (any colour), tights - any full-length coloured stirrup tights or tan tights (like the show tights), flat black ballet shoes (jazz shoes from Grade 4 upwards)

 

Tap

Prep and Primary grades - Leotard and skirt, white ankle socks, black tap shoes

Grade 1 – 5 – Leotard (any colour), tights - any full-length coloured stirrup tights or tan tights (like the show tights), tap shoes with laces or black ribbons

(please check with class teacher re appropriate taps on tap shoes)

 

Freestyle

Any coloured combination – crop tops, leotards, cycle-shorts/hot pants, long tights – no logos allowed. Footwear – could be bare feet, jazz shoes, ballet shoes or trainers (please wear which your teacher has asked for)

 

Contemporary Jazz

Crop top or leotard, cycle shorts/hot pants or long or ¾ tights – any colour combination – no logos – bare feet
