Testimonials

I first started at JETs when I was 4 years old, and I have spent the last 14 years taking lessons and performing with the school. Throughout my time at JETs I have always taken the 'main' class where I learnt Tap, Theatre Craft and Modern Jazz. When I was around 13 I also joined the Contemporary and Freestyle classes for my age group.

I remember being nervous about starting my newer classes as some of the other dancers had been doing Freestyle and Contemporary for quite a while, but I was given all the support I needed by the teachers and my classmates and was encouraged to perform and take exams at a level I felt comfortable with – rather than trying to push myself too far in order to ‘catch up’ with my classmates.

All the staff at JETs are incredibly friendly and supportive, and I’ve always felt there is a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. In my lessons at JETs (whether we’ve been learning exam work or preparing for shows) I have always been encouraged and pushed by my teachers to become a better performer and dancer, and this has helped to improve both my confidence and my technical skills over the years.

Overall, I have had a wonderful time being a student at JETs and it truly has felt like having a second family, I could not recommend them enough to anyone wanting to learn to dance.
